Sunday Morning at KUF
Sunday Services gather the entire KUF community together beginning with a "Story For All Ages". Children and youth then go to their Religious Exploration activities with varied age appropriate activities whule the Sunday service continues. Eash Sunday service explores a different theme for adults and is one form of religious exploration at KUF. There is usually time for questions and comments. Coffee and tea after the service offer informal time to continue conversation.
A Fellowship For Exploration expresses well the feel of KUF. KUF is a warm, welcoming, friendly group whose principles include supporting "a free and responsible search for truth and meaning". Sunday services seek to inspire thoughtful reflection and dialogue as KUF'ers recognize no one dogma or creed.
Joining In The Exploration After the service, take a moment to sign up for a printed name tag and share your e-mail address in order to receive KUFLinks, our monthly newsletter. The "sign-up table" is near the songbook bookcase in the main hall. Sign up for activities and more information. while you enjoy coffee hour and conversation, or join the Explorations occasional presentations. Once a month we share a "finger food" potluck lunch after the service that we call "Shared Lunch". Please join us!
All Adult Religious Exploration activities and programmes are open to everyone, newcomers and old time KUF'ers alike, with the exception of specific activities where it is noted in the description. Service Weavers and Sunday Service
Coordinator: Anne Coward (hatton_coward at yahoo.ca, 613.653.2017)
Description: Sunday services may be an important part of your personal religious exploration. Volunteering as a Service Weaver or with the Sunday Services Committee allows you to take this exploration to the next level. Researching and crafting the opening and closing words, a meditation or other parts of the service can provide a great opportunity for individual religious exploration and personal growth. This might mean that you would stand at the lectern and lead a guided meditation or read the Story for All Ages. It might also mean that you could help to find thought provoking passages or offer inspiring poetry that would be presented by someone else.
Dates/Times: Service Weavers and the Sunday Services Committee meet once a month and volunteer their time as they are available to help weave together the various elements of a Sunday Service.
