Life long learner and seeker am I; yet I had not found a community that was a good fit, until one day. . .
I was attending a seasonal celebration with a group I had been associated with for a few years. We occasionally rented space from the Unitarian Fellowship for our more formal gatherings.
One meeting, while we waited for the activities to begin, I glanced over to a table that held pamphlets on Unitarian Universalism 7 Principles and the 6 Sources.

I read the list of Principles
As I read down the list, I check marked each Principle in turn.
Yes, yes and yes I agreed with all the guiding Principles. No hesitation.

My partner and I came to the Unitarian movement because we are spiritual people who were craving a more permanent community. Somewhere our future children would spend time with elders, where we fed each other’s bodies, minds and spirits and where we stood for integrity, social and environmental justice and the worth and dignity of all. We really appreciate being able to tell our boys that KUF is their “special place” and look forward to them growing up alongside other UU kids and youth, and having that intergenerational time! We especially love our annual KUF retreat to Unirondack in the woods

Since I joined KUF almost two years ago, I have been welcomed in the group as together we explore what spirituality is and engage in meaningful dialogue with each other. People have reached out to include and invite me to participate. With our fabulous new minister, Rev Beckett Coppola, we are working to build an even more inclusive and diverse community.
