The Innovation Team Cooks up a Proposal for a Community Kitchen at KUF

On May 2, 2017 the Board of the Kingston Unitarian Fellowship endorsed the proposal from the Innovation Team to develop a community commercial kitchen at Unitarian Place. A motion, requesting permission for the Board to move forward with this proposal, will be presented at the KUF AGM on Sunday, May 28th. This is the motion that will be presented by Innovation Team secretary, Susan Young:

On behalf of the Innovation Team, I move the congregation of the Kingston Unitarian Fellowship give permission to the Board of Directors to move forward with the development of a commercial community kitchen at Unitarian Place. This includes the application for grants, a KUF capital campaign, final kitchen design and establishment of policies for the operation of the kitchen. The plans to develop this kitchen can be altered or cancelled, at the discretion of the Board, based on the outcome of grant applications and the capital campaign.

There will be a presentation about the proposal, followed by a Q&A after the service on Sunday May 14 and a repeat of the same presentation on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
